The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for preparing quick snacks or family meals so you can enjoy every bit of your getaway. The back yard will be a hit, with a large patio for dining & enjoying the firepit, plus a big grassy yard. There's an assortment of beach chairs, yard games and other fun games to enjoy while staying at Mail Legacy Cottage. The front bedroom has one queen bed, the back bedroom has a bunk bed with full over full size mattresses, and bathroom with a large shower.

We enjoyed our stay. Very clean property. The backyard is ample and great for our fur baby. They have every amenity you could imagine. Both a Keurig and regular coffee maker. The beach closest to the property has no facilities and has a small public access but was lovely. The walk into town is doable and we enjoyed the neighborhood. Very safe neighborhood. Taste is our favorite restaurant downtown. (September 2024)

Location, location, location If you like the beach, this is in walking distance to several and right across from Lake Michigan. We were able to walk downtown to eat and shop with in 15 minutes. The backyard was a plus for our fur babies. We would stay here again. (August 2024)

A good stay at a sweet little lake house. The accommodations were great. I do wish that the instructions for check in were a bit more clear. We were unaware that we wouldnt get the instructions until day of check in at 10am when check in itself was at 3pm. The location is by far the selling point for this house! Within 2-5 minute walk of two small public beach access, and only a 15-20 minute walk to popular and bigger North Beach. Easy to also drive downtown to shops and restaurants. We loved having the full kitchen and grill to be able to cook some meals at the house and not feel like we had to eat every meal out. The house itself was comfortable for our needs. The single bathroom is small, so just be mindful if you are planning to sleep the full listed number of guests. Not having access to the washer and dryer was not ideal, especially for a beach house and traveling with kids. Even just to be able to toss bathing suits and towels in the dryer or to do a quick load to rinse things would have been appreciated. Because the property is managed through a vacation rental company, they do all of their communication off of AirBNB, so just be prepared for additional paperwork, websites to access, text messages, etc. (July 2024)

We had a wonderful time at the Mail Legacy Cottage! The location provided us easy access to nearby beaches, the backyard fire pit was a hit with the kids, and the house was well stocked so we could fully relax on vacation. We will recommend staying here or at Shores rentals to everyone who wants to visit South Haven!

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of where the property is located. It's SO close to everything. The best part is that we were able to see the best sunsets ever, everyday on the beach, which was walking distance. This is the perfect place for a vacation!
